Shri C. B. Naik

A dream, of an individual, to try to bring about a transformation in the future of this country by channelizing scientific and rational thinking in the young fertile minds, is the birth place of this organization.

This dream was dreamt by Mr. C. B. Naik, an ex- Bank of India official, who always believed that if India has to progress then this progress has to start at ground zero level i.e. each and every village has to be a part of this flow. This man had a totally different and independent view with respect to the word "progress" and this was educating or enlightening the young generation, the future pillars of this country, with the knowledge of science and scientific thinking. In his quest he experienced that education was not only improving the literacy rate but transforming the very minds of these budding group into a thinking mechanism.

The very thoughts of superstition, fear of unknown etc. was to be erased from the minds of the rural kids and these were to be replaced by scientific, experimental and theoretical philosophy. This belief that changing the thought process will bring about a revolution brought Shri. C B Naik back to his native land from the busy money land of Mumbai.

Vasundhara has bagged the National Award for Outstanding Efforts in Science & Technology Popularization among children for the year 2015.
